About Me.
My name is D.J. Chance. I was born and raised in Northeast, Kansas. I have had the opportunity to construct custom homes, additions, remodels, barns and decks for the past 40 years. I would love the opportunity to help you create your dream home or whatever building needs you may have.
My Family.
My family and I live on a farm east of Mayetta, KS. While growing up in Northeast, Kansas I had the opportunity to meet and fall in love with my wife Kristi. We will have been together 36 years in August. Kristi works in the IT department at StormontVail Hospital in Topeka. We are fortunate enough to have two great kids. Our daughter, Ashley graduated from Kansas State University. She finished her counseling degree in December 2018 and has been a counselor at Royal Valley High School for 5 years. Her husband, Caleb Wick teaches at Jackson Heights and is the head football coach. Caleb and Ashley have two children. Kooper who turned 7 in December and Kynslee who turned 5 in March. Kristi and I love being grandparents and spending time with them. Our son, Blake graduated from Kansas State University in May of 2022 is working at Tarwater Farm and Home as Warehouse Manager. Blake recently got engaged to Sydnee, who he met at K-State and they will get married in 2025.
